EXPERIENCED LEADERSHIP, PUTTING COMMUNITY FIRST

RE-ELECT ROBIN MCKEE TO YOUNTVILLE TOWN COUNCIL

Four years ago I asked for your trust, promised to listen to residents and amplify their voices. As a fresh voice I brought new ideas, energy and transparency to the Council and I've kept my promise with every decision I've made.

I'm asking for your vote again so we can protect what we love about Yountville while preparing responsibly for what comes next. As a small town that relies on tax dollars from tourism, we need retail, we need partnerships, and we need to show the state we have zoning for affordable housing.

I've pushed back on developers and I've continued to be the only council member to continue hold PG&E accountable for outages.

I RESPOND AND TAKE ACTION

Whether I am approaching state leadership about PG&E or county officials about chemical spraying in the vineyards, I step up and lean in to protect our town. I am asking for your vote so I can continue to do that for another four years.  I'm fully committed to serving Yountville residents to be their voice on the Council for four more years.

While representing Yountville I have built strong county-wide and business relationships serving on commissions and boards:

  • Napa County Commission on Aging

  • Napa Valley Tourism Improvement District

  • Napa Valley Tourism Corporation

  • Napa Valley Transportation Association

  • Yountville Arts Commission

My Priorities

Reframe the conversation about housing to build consensus from residents and businesses, and let's get it right

Protect our neighborhoods, our seniors and small town charm from over development

Strike a balance between residents and businesses, honoring Yountville's legacy and prestige. Residents and visitors are asking for retail. By fostering partnerships and incentivizing current businesses to offer more we must expand on what we have here to make our town vibrant again.

Work with state leaders to ensure our veterans have the caregivers who can call Yountville home and to make sure the policies our veterans live under, work for them long term

Protect our town's rural character and natural beauty, and take care of the landscaping our town staff has planted, to ensure it's healthy, thriving and looking beautiful for all to enjoy

Ensure our town is prepared for emergencies with strong reserves, energy independence and clean water storage

The Community comes first in every decision I make

UNIQUE CONTRIBUTIONS WHILE SERVING

I have....

  • Persuaded the first mobile retail shop to set up in Yountville,  instead of in Napa, where for two years, Le Labo Fragrance has enjoyed record sales while offering temporary retail in front of V Marketplace

  • Organized a tour for all resort "front of house" staff,  personally escorting them to every retail merchant in town. This tour and training was focused on ensuring those who work here and talk to visitors all day long, are aware of every business in Yountville, thereby ensuing more success for our merchants.

  • Founded the Holiday Artisan Market, now a two-day community event offering local holiday shopping.

  • Partnered with Community Action Napa Valley's Food Bank donation program, bringing a donation barrel to the Community Center to help address food insecurity.

  • Collaborated annually with Cal Fire and Fire Station 12 to enhance their holiday "Toys-for-Tots" event.

  • Initiated the naming of the Steve Rogers Gallery, honoring a local artist and our former town manager who founded the arts commission in YV.

  • Brought forward the plan to re-think the landscaping at Town Hall. What was once overgrown with tired bushes is now a freshened space that even has seating, so residents and visitors can enjoy our civic heart.

ABOUT ME

A Napa Valley native, I've called Yountville home for more than eight years and served on the Town Council for four of them, after serving a term on the Arts Commission.

My career spans destination sales and marketing, luxury winery and resort sales, and corporate event planning, including executive roles at Ferrari San Francisco and Autodesk, where I organized worldwide GIS (geographic information system) and AutoCAD conferences and executive briefings. That decade in business and hospitality gave me experience working with corporate budgets, and direct insight into how occupancy tax revenue is generated and how it should be reinvested for residents.

My background in finance, with its ongoing ethics certification requirements, reinforces the accountability I bring to every fiscal decision.

Resourcefulness, integrity, follow through and dedication to being of service have defined my career and what I bring to the council table for Yountville.

Outside of work, my life centers on family and music. I've been a professional singer since age 18, and these days I give back by singing regularly for seniors. You'll find me at the Veterans Home, The Meadows, Aegis Living, and Calligraphy, and occasionally sitting in with bands at Music in the Park.

My husband, "Big John" Cant, shares that spirit of service as assistant coach and resident "ringer" for the Mixed Nutts ball team at the Veterans' Home where he's spent the past four years helping veterans enjoy the game.

We live in Rancho de Napa with our 17-year-old dog Willy (a Hospitality Hound) and two Maine Coon cats who rule the roost.
